Kent Reierson
Kent Reierson joined the Litigation Department in the firm’s Williston, North Dakota office in August 2006. Kent was in private practice in Williston with McKennett, Stenehjem, Reierson, Forsberg and Hermanson, P.C. since 1984, concentrating in the areas of litigation, oil and gas law and municipal law.
Kent is a former State’s Attorney for Williams County, ND and served 12 years as City Attorney for Williston. Kent graduated from Law School and also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of North Dakota both in 1980. Kent clerked for Chief Justice Ralph Erickstad of the North Dakota Supreme Court before moving to Williston in 1981. Kent is a National Board of Trial Advocacy certified Civil Trial Specialist having handled numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal courts as well as appeals. He will continue to practice in the areas of general litigation and oil and gas law. Kent is active in numerous wildlife habitat conservation groups and archery associations. Kent is former President of the North Dakota Trial Lawyers and has served on the State Bar Association’s Board of Governors Ethics Committee and is presently on the Inquiry Committee West.
