James (Jim) P. Sites
James (Jim) P. Sites is Consul for Norway for the State of Montana, appointed in 1987 by His Royal Majesty (The Late) King Olav V. He is fluent in Norwegian and experienced in international and consular matters. His background includes an LL. M. in Taxation, Georgetown University, and service for eight years as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Mr. Sites is a member of the Montana, Maryland and District of Columbia bars. He practices in the fields of taxation (emphasizing state and local tax), administrative law, immigration and naturalization and litigation involving the public sector. He is Chair of the Tax Litigation Subcommittee, Trusts, Estates, Tax and Business Law Section of the State Bar of Montana, Member of the Montana Continuing Legal Education Institute and active in the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce as moderator of its Newsmaker Forum programs.
